MusicMates is pleased to offer group music programs that include Social Singing, Parents and Tots, MusicMakers Theory and Music and Make Believe, Through these programs we strive to create fully accessible music and social opportunities!

Music groups are located in various areas throughout Kingston and offer partipants the
opportunity to explore music, play instruments, make friends, sing and learn basic sign language.

Our Programs:

Social Singing is a group singing program designed for verbal and non-verbal participants of any age. We learn a number of songs throughout our ten weeks sessions including camp songs, familiar folk songs and children’s songs.

Parents and Tots is a group program specially designed for children ages 3-5. This program involves the use of music to teach basic sign language and social skills. It is a wonderful opportunity for young children and their families to spend quality time together singing and participating in musical activities.

MusicMakers is a popular program that involves members of the Kingston Community. Each week groups of children meet to learn about music theory through songs, games and activities.

By inviting special guests from the community to learn with us, children are given the
opportunity to meet people they normally would not meet. Our guest have included OPP, the army and musicians!

Music and Make Believe is a program where you can use your imagination! Each week features a new theme! Children are invited to join us on Pajama night, Christmas in Springtime, and Easter in the Fall!

MusicMates.Inc is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing social opportunities for children and adults with social and special needs through the use of music. All of our participants come from families with low income where one or more family member has a disability. It is our goal to create a subsidy fund to lower the cost of registration fees for our families so that every person has access to our programs.
